The Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) Level 2 teacher training class is an advanced program that builds upon the foundational principles of the Suzuki Method as taught in Level 1. This course is designed for educators and caregivers who have completed the Level 1 training and wish to deepen their understanding and proficiency in teaching young children through the Suzuki approach. Suzuki Violin Unit 1 | July 7–14, 2024

Instructors learn the fundamental principles of the Suzuki method for teaching beginners. Teachers become familiar with specific Book 1 repertoire and materials, including essential pieces. The training focuses on effective communication, observation, and motivation strategies for students and parents, equipping instructors to guide beginners through their initial violin learning within the Suzuki approach.
Meal Plan Add-On: During Suzuki Institute, Omaha Conservatory caters lunches from surrounding local restaurants for students and faculty. Trainees may choose to opt-in to this meal plan for $100 and enjoy an on-site, ready-to-go meal for July 8-12.

The Suzuki Violin Book 6 teacher training course is an advanced program tailored for experienced Suzuki violin instructors seeking to expand their expertise in the renowned Suzuki method. This course delves deeply into the content and pedagogy of Suzuki Violin Book 6, offering comprehensive insights into teaching advanced techniques and repertoire. Participants will explore nuanced aspects of bowing, fingering, and musical interpretation, as well as delve into the intricate works featured in Book 6. The training emphasizes the development of a keen musical ear, tone production, and effective teaching strategies, ensuring that instructors can guide their students to reach a high level of proficiency in the violin. Upon completion of this course, teachers will be well-prepared to nurture the musical talents of their students as they progress to more complex and challenging pieces in the Suzuki repertoire.
In-person observations will be completed on-site by observing Violin/Viola Intensive (July 18–19) and SoundWaves (July 20–27).
