Jonathan McDaniel was an Omaha resident who passed away tragically in June 2015. He loved music and was passionate about seeing children have opportunities to achieve more in life.
In August 2015, Jonathan’s widow, Jennifer Genua-McDaniel, established The Jonathan McDaniel Memorial Scholarship to honor Jonathan’s memory and ensure his legacy and love of music lives on. In August of each year, the Conservatory will select a Jonathan McDaniel Scholar, a deserving student with significant financial need, to receive a year of lessons.
- Gifts of $2,500 in Jonathan’s memory can ensure that a student can receive a one year of 60-minute lessons with any instrument.
- Gifts of $1,250 in Jonathan’s memory can ensure that a student can receive a one year of 30-minute lessons with any instrument.
- Gifts of $625 in Jonathan’s memory can ensure that a student can receive a one year of 15-minute lessons with any instrument.
- Gifts at any amount toward this memorial scholarship are welcome and can help defray the cost of tuition for deserving students whose families demonstrate financial need.
